Cortez: Turning the tides

This journey has begun with bad luck and seems to have kept following us. Yes, we all keep on making out by the skin of our teeth, but I get the feeling that we're only one unfortunate situation away from finding our deaths on this flooded world.

We rescued our crew. That is the only thing that went right. We encountered MANY more Redmen than the first time. We went down rapidly. Very rapidly. Even our self-centered crab mage found himself overwhelmed. It turns out that they summoned a snake this time, instead of an ape. I suppose each Redman Tribe worships a different animal. This one was rather hypnotic, and we nearly lost Krastus to it's siren call. In the end, we were able to flee when it fell asleep. With our entire crew... which was a stroke of good luck, I'll admit.

I feel I have let the crew down by not being decisive enough. We are a bunch of folks, to be sure, but I am their captain, and I need to start leading us down smarter paths before it's too late. Treasure hunt first. Then we'll take to the seas. Maybe it's time we return to the Kieran Empire and harass them as they've begun to harass us.
