Sira Saran: Drums in the night

Our attack on the red men was to premature, to fast and we got hit hard. The capt'n and the crab down and a lot of enemies still attacking we made a hard choice. We need to run this snake is really hard to kill. Even my very well aimed shot to the eye of the creature did glance off.

So we ran, dragging everyone alive with us only to notice that our guide vanished leaving us behind searching our way back through the wilderness.
So we managed to find our way, i hoped. The direction was right at least.
The crew made good pace down the mountains but drums followed us through the night and that could mean only one thing, the redmen were after us.
The second night they surrounded and attacked us in overwhelming numbers. I was dragged from sleep and the fight was raging through our camp. A lot of our crew were seriously injured. I started picking targets and placing aimed shots, till two arrows hit me and I went down. The rest of the fight was just a blur.
I woke up again when Helene was all over me with her voodoo magic trying to stop the bleeding. And she did actually stop it, but the crude arrowhead left a nasty scar and I feel a bit stiff on my left side.

The whole next day I tried not to fall over, while we made our way out of the foothills to the coast and to Shark Bay.

I really need a day off to relax and gather some strength, but first I need to repair "Grandpa"! Carltons trusty musket was severly damaged in the last fight and after a good nights sleep in a cozy bed i will try to repair it.
