In Which I Told Them Thusly

I told them. I told them the jungle was a bad idea.

But does anyone listen?

No, they like to sit and berate, never listen. Never take advice. Just wonder at the end why it went wrong and then blame the person that told them so. Tch. Such irrational creatures these humans - even when disguised as a Walrus.

We were moving out of the jungle when SIra went missing. We heard shots and ran back...only to find her surrounded by dead spiders. Big spiders. Big scary 'come from the shadows' spiders. We looked up, and I was certain I saw another, so I did what any sane person would do. I threw fire up into the canopy. Which caught on the webbing. It seems there was quite an infestation judging from how quickly it spread. We had to run.

We got to the edge of the forest. And a cliff. For me this was not an issue, and seeing the ship in a distant bay I went and glided back to it for safety. The others? Well, they made it back with diving and what not.

What followed was not pleasing - they sought to blame me for this situation. A situation we should never have been in. A situation I warned against. We debating going back to help, I pointed out to them that no-one technically knew we had started the fire other than this spectre friend of Carlton's. And whatever group she was with might know. So if we went up, the people who don't want to kill us are not the ones we want. Simple, really. How do they not see these things?
